Giorgi Khanjaliashvili brings a wealth of experience in taxation, dispute resolution, and legal advisory to our team at Andersen Georgia. With a diverse background in both the public and private sectors, Giorgi has developed a deep understanding of Georgian as well as international taxation.

Prior to joining Andersen Georgia in 2023, Giorgi held key positions where he honed his expertise. From November 2017 to February 2020, he served in the Dispute Resolution Department of the Revenue Service in Georgia, gaining practical knowledge in resolving tax disputes and intricacies of the department’s operations.

Following this, Giorgi spent almost year working as an in-house lawyer at one of Georgia’s largest retail companies. During this time Giorgi successfully advised the company on a wide range of issues and represented the company in legal proceedings, both in court and arbitration institutions.

From November 2020 until joining our team, Giorgi excelled as a Senior Tax Consultant at one of the Big4 audit firms in Georgia – EY. Here, he assisted global clients with professional tax advisory services, including obtaining Advance Tax Rulings and representing clients’ interests in dispute resolution bodies and courts. Giorgi’s expertise extends to helping clients navigate the complexities of cross-border transactions and understanding the associated tax and customs implications from both a Georgian and international perspective. Notably, he has completed the esteemed EY Transfer Pricing Academy.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Giorgi serves as an assistant lecturer, sharing his knowledge in tax law with LLM students at the Free University of Tbilisi.
